France: Stade Rennais, Olympique Lyonnais & Paris SG, owners of the best training centres in 2023-24

The Fédération Française de Football's National Technical Department (DTN) and the Ligue de Football Professionnel's joint committee have published a report entitled "Effectiveness of French training centres", which evaluates the academies of 33 clubs in Ligue 1 (18 centres), Ligue 2 (11) and National 1 (4) during the 2023-24 season, on 21/06/2024.

In the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, Stade Rennais FC (4.75 stars out of 5), Olympique Lyonnais (4.2) and Paris Saint-Germain (3.97) received the highest ratings. In the Ligue 2 BKT, FC Girondins de Bordeaux (3.75), AS Saint-Étienne (3.47, promoted to Ligue 1 after the 2023-24 season) and Valenciennes FC (3.45, relegated to National 1) took the top three places.

The five criteria used to analyse each club are:
⚽️ professionalisation (U16s to U23s on professional contracts in the top two divisions of the top ten countries in the UEFA rankings and National 1);
⚽️ playing time in the first team of the training club;
⚽️ national caps (international matches played by the player, regardless of nation);
