CAF: TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 scheduled in Morocco from 21/12/2025 to 18/01/2026

The 2025 edition of the CAF TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, to be held in Morocco, will take place from 21/12/2025 to 18/01/2026, announced the Confederation of African Football's executive committee on 21/06/2024.

Initially scheduled for the summer of 2025, the competition has now been rescheduled for the end of 2025, mainly due to the holding of the first 32-team FIFA Club World Cup in the United States from 15/06 to 13/07/2025. Four African clubs - including Al Ahly SC (EGY) and Wydad AC (MAR) - will in fact be taking part in the new format of this tournament, officially named the "Mundial de Clubes FIFA", in addition to the African international players who play for the 12 European clubs that have qualified.
