Liga Portugal: a record €31.5m in revenue & operating profit of €1.1m forecast in 2024-25

Liga Portugal's general meeting has validated record projected revenues of €31.5m for the 2024-25 financial year, announced the Portuguese Professional Football League on 21/06/2024.

Chaired by Pedro Proença since 2015, Liga Portugal is also forecasting a positive operating result - for the 10^th consecutive financial year - of around €1.1m. "This financial stability will enable a record distribution of dividends to clubs and stakeholders, totalling €9.8m," said the organising body of Portugal's first and second divisions (Liga Portugal Betclic and Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG), as well as the League Cup (Allianz Cup).

The league posted total revenues of €24.1m and an operating profit of €1.2m for the 2022-23 financial year. In June 2023, Liga Portugal forecast revenues of €26.5m and an operating profit of €1.1m for the 2023-24 season, the consolidated balance sheet for which has yet to be presented, as of 25/06/2024.
