Ligue 2 BKT: beIN SPORTS France acquires the exclusive TV rights for the 2024-2029 cycle (€40m/year)

The pay-TV group beIN SPORTS France has acquired the full and exclusive broadcasting rights to the Ligue 2 BKT for the 2024-2029 cycle (five seasons), announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 25/06/2024. These rights have been acquired for a sum of €40m per year, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe.

beIN held the broadcasting rights to two games per matchday (choice 1 and choice 2) of the Ligue 2 BKT over the 2021-2024 cycle for an annual €30m. The American e-commerce group Amazon held the broadcasting rights to eight Ligue 2 matches per matchday (individual matches and the Saturday multiplex at 19:00 CET, choices 3 to 10) for €9m over the same period. La chaine L'Équipe (free DTT channel) co-broadcast the top fixture from the multiplex (choice 3) on each matchday, with Amazon, over the 2022-2024 cycle.
