Paris 2024: Samsung partners with Warner Bros. Discovery for its coverage in 11 European countries

Samsung, a South Korean electronics group, has become the "official presenting partner" of Warner Bros. Discovery (owner of the pay-TV group Eurosport and the streaming platform Max) for its coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Europe, announced the media and entertainment conglomerate on 26/06/2024.

The agreement covers Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK. Warner Bros. Discovery holds the holds the pay-TV rights to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Europe. Discovery (prior to the merger with Warner Bros) acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the Summer and Winter Olympic Games in 50 European territories for €1.3bn over the 2018-2024 cycle (four editions) on 29/06/2015. The group extended these rights for 49 territories (excluding Russia and Belarus) over the 2026-2032 period (four editions), on 16/01/2023.
