ECA and EPFL "very surprised by FIFPro’s latest press statements" (joint statement)

"The EPFL (Association of European Professional Football Leagues), chaired by Frédéric Thiriez (FRA), and the ECA (European Club Association), chaired by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (GER), took note of FIFPro’s (International Union of Professional Footballers) latest press releases in which they accuse the EPFL and the ECA of impeding discussions on possible amendments to the transfer system and state their intention to pursue legal action," stated the two organisations in a joint statement released on 03/02/2015.

"Consequently, both the EPFL and the ECA are very surprised by FIFPro’s latest press statements. Furthermore, the EPFL and ECA do not understand FIFPro’s sudden change in tone, which is regrettable," the two organisations added.
