FC Bayern Munich: Bianca Rech appointed director of the new women's team department

Bianca Rech, a former German international and head of women's football at FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) since April 2023, has been promoted to director of the department dedicated to the women's section (Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga) that will be created on 01/07/2024, announced the club on 28/06/2024.

Bianca Rech, who played for the Bavarian club from 2006 to 2010, returned to Bayern as a member of the women's technical team in 2016, before becoming its sporting director from 2019 to 2023.

"This new structure represents a great appreciation: it increases our visibility and is another major step in the professionalisation of women's football at FC Bayern. In future, we will be able to plan even more strategically and utilise the resources within the club in a more targeted manner," said Bianca Rech.

FC Bayern Munich's women's team won the 2023-24 Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga on Saturday 04/05/2024. This was Bayern's second consecutive women's league title and the fifth in their history, following on from 2015, 2016, 2021 and 2023. This made them the third most decorated team…
