Bundesliga/social networks: 8.86 million additional followers for FC Bayern Munich in 2023-24

The 18 clubs that participated in the 2023-24 Bundesliga season had a total of 228.3 million followers on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X on 01/07/2024, 24.9 million more than on 01/08/2023, according to data compiled by News Tank Football. The German league has an average of approximately 12.7 million followers per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most followed club in the Bundesliga with 129.1 million, including 8.86 million additional followers accumulated over the season (+7.4%). The Bavarian club is ahead of Borussia Dortmund, the 2^nd most popular club with 51.4 million followers, who gained 5.9 million new followers last season (+13%). Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the 2023-24 German champions, are in third place with 13.7 million followers.

Bayern Munich recorded the biggest absolute growth in terms of number of followers between August 2023 and July 2024, ahead of Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund.
