LFP: postponement of Trophée des Champions 2024 initially scheduled in Beijing (CHN) on 08/08/2024

The 2024 edition of the Trophée des Champions, initially scheduled to take place in Beijing (CHN) on 08/08/2024, has been postponed "until a later date and at a venue yet to be determined," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 03/07/2024.

The match between Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco FC (Ligue 1 McDonald's), scheduled to take place in the Chinese capital "as part of the sixtieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and China", will not be able to take place there due to administrative constraints, according to L'Equipe on the same day.

This is the second consecutive postponement of the Trophée des Champions, following that of the 28^th edition in 2023. It was due to be held in Bangkok (Thailand) on Saturday 05/08/2023, however the local organiser eventually pulled out, forcing the LFP to postpone the match. The match won by Paris Saint-Germain versus Toulouse FC (2-0) was eventually played at the Parc des Princes (Paris, 16^th arrondissement) on 03/01/2024.
