Valencia CF: 328 solar panels installed at the training centre to cover over 30% of electrical needs

Valencia CF (LALIGA EA Sports) has had 328 solar panels installed at its training centre, the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna, by the Spanish subsidiary of British energy supplier Octopus Energy, announced the club on 03/07/2024.

This installation, located on the roofs of several buildings, should provide "more than 30%" of the training centre's electrical needs and an annual production of more than 260,000 kWh. "This is the first major milestone of the alliance with which Valencia CF, together with Octopus Energy, is accelerating its energy transition process," explained the Spanish club.

The partnership also includes "integrating electrical solutions developed by Octopus Energy and designed to encourage green energy consumption among the thousands of people who use the facilities. In addition, they will create the 'Energy House', a space where visitors will be able to dive into the different renewable energies interactively and see the guts of the solar installation live," added VCF.
