Ligue 1/social networks: 5.8 million additional fans for Paris Saint-Germain in 2023-24

The 18 clubs involved in the 2023-24 Ligue 1 championship had a total of 252.5 million followers on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X on 01/07/2024, 14.3 million more than on 01/08/2023, according to data compiled by News Tank Football. Ligue 1 has an average of approximately 14 million followers per club.

Paris Saint-Germain is the most followed club with 174.2 million followers, representing 69% of all clubs. The 2023-24 French champions added 5.8 million followers (+3.5%) over the season as a whole, despite losing 2.5 million followers on Instagram.

AS Monaco FC is the second most popular club in Ligue 1 with 20.1 million followers, adding 320,507 new followers last season (+1.6%). Olympique de Marseille complete the podium with 19.3 million followers, including 2.1 million more since 01/08/2023 (+12.2%).

In terms of percentage growth, the biggest increase was experienced by Stade de Reims, whose digital community grew by 44.7%. Next come RC Strasbourg Alsace (+ 41.8%) and RC Lens (+ 40.5%).
