Bundesliga: Eleven Sports acquires broadcasting rights in Poland for the 2025-2029 cycle

The pay-TV group Eleven Sports Polska (owned by the Polsat group) has acquired the broadcasting rights in Poland for the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga for the 2025-2029 cycle (four seasons), announced Bundesliga International, the DFL subsidiary responsible for the commercial rights (audiovisual, sponsorship, marketing, digital) of Germany's top two divisions abroad, on 05/07/2024.

Eleven will also broadcast matches from both leagues in the second half of the 2024-25 season from January 2025. These matches will be co-broadcast with the Swedish audiovisual group Viaplay, which holds the broadcasting rights for the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga over the 2021-2025 cycle.

Viaplay had also initially extended its media rights in Poland for the two German divisions over the 2025-2029 cycle on 27/04/2021. However, the Swedish group has decided to close its streaming service in several territories since the end of 2023 due to poor financial performance and the desire to "refocus on the Nordic countries and the Netherlands."
