"There's a bit of an ultimatum because we need time to get it up and running (the LFP channel dedicated to broadcasting Ligue 1 matches from 2024-25). But if we have to start the season without a channel, for one or two days, we'll accept it. People will go to the stadium to watch the matches. And we'll be patient. I think it's a mistake to rush into something," said Jean-Pierre Caillot, president of Stade de Reims and the Collège de Ligue 1 (Ligue 1 Board), to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 09/07/2024.

While the domestic broadcasting rights for Ligue 1 McDonald's over the 2024-2029 cycle have still not been awarded as at 09/07/2024, the LFP is working on the creation of a dedicated channel that would be distributed by various operators from the 2024-25 season. The League has reportedly signed an agreement with media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery (owner of the Eurosport group) to distribute this channel on the Max streaming platform, according to RMC Sport on 05/07/2024. The offer including Ligue 1 and Max content would be priced at €27.99 per month.
