LOSC Lille: a friendly & qualifying round of the 2024-25 Champions League at the Stade du Hainaut

LOSC Lille (Ligue 1 McDonald's) will play a friendly match and its home games in the qualifying round of the 2024-25 Champions League at the Stade du Hainaut (25,172 capacity) in Valenciennes (Nord, FRA), announced the club on 08/07/2024.

This relocation was made possible by a partnership with Valenciennes Métropole, owner of the Stade du Hainaut. LOSC will have to change venues as the Decathlon Arena - Stade Pierre-Mauroy will host the preliminary phases of the Olympic basketball tournaments (women's and men's) at the Paris 2024 Games from 27/07 to 04/08/2024, as well as the final phases of the Olympic handball tournaments on 07, 09 and 11/08 (men's) and 06, 08 and 10/08/2024 (women's).

As a result, two or three LOSC matches will be held at the stadium, which is home to Valenciennes FC (National 1):
• on 30/07, a friendly match versus RC Celta de Vigo (LALIGA EA Sports);
• on 06 or 13/08: first or second leg of the third qualifying round for the Champions League;
• in the event of a win, Champions League play-off first leg (20 or 21) or second leg (27 or 28/08).
