ECA: over 700 members in July 2024, 160% more than at the start of the 2023-24 season

The European Club Association has passed the 700 member clubs mark in July 2024, up from 266 at the start of the 2023-24 season, an increase of 160%, announced the ECA on 03/07/2024.

"Among these 700+ members, 20 countries across Europe now boast 100% market share, with all top-division clubs in those nations being ECA members. The 'subdivisions' of ECA - which ensure fair representation across all levels of membership - also now all maintain at least 80% market share within their respective countries (S1, subdivision 1, which includes clubs from member associations ranked 1-6 in the UEFA coefficient rankings, at 83%; S2, clubs from member associations ranked 7-15, at 82%; S3, clubs from member associations ranked 16-28, at 80%; and S4, clubs from member associations ranked 29 and below, at 80%), highlighting the genuine new inclusivity of ECA today - being the home of small, medium and large clubs all across Europe," explained the European Club Association.
