Media: TGI Sport (tech) acquires the British virtual advertising company Supponor

TGI Sport has acquired Supponor, a British company specialised in virtual advertising and live sports broadcasting solutions, announced the sports infrastructure, technology and media rights company on 11/07/2024.

"Supponor will operate within TGI Sport’s technology division, adding its complementary capabilities to other recent TGI Sport acquisitions including virtual advertising company Brand Brigade and media rights and production companies ISG and Sportseen. Supponor’s AIR technology (an AI and machine learning-based platform launched in 2021) and experienced AI tech developers further bolsters TGI Sport’s virtual tech offering, whilst Supponor’s commercial and R&D teams add to the business’ leadership in tech development," said TGI Sport.

TGI Sport, co-owned by the American investment fund Bruin Capital and the Australian fund Quadrant Private Equity, had been a minority shareholder in Supponor since 2019. "TGI Sport’s tech and software will support virtual advertising integrated into more than 4000 live sports productions this year. Its clients include NHL, LALIGA, Bundesliga…
