Paris 2024: "People are fed up with hatred, wars and misinformation" (Thomas Bach, IOC)

"Billions of people across the planet are looking forward to these Olympic Games in Paris 2024. At a time when the world is torn apart by so many conflicts and divisions, people are fed up with hatred, wars, aggression and misinformation," said Thomas Bach (GER), president of the IOC, in an article published in three French daily newspapers, L'Équipe, Le Parisien and Ouest-France, on 12/07/2024, just two weeks before the opening ceremony of the Games scheduled for Friday 26/07/2024.

"Everything is in place: the athletes are ready, the whole of France is ready, the Olympic Movement is ready," added the president of the International Olympic Committee in an article that News Tank has reproduced in full below.
