Ligue 1 TV rights: an audit of "all expenses" for the LFP & its subsidiary LFP Media

"After lengthy discussions, 16 out of 18 Ligue 1 clubs decided at a meeting held on Sunday (14/07/2024) to award the audiovisual rights to DAZN and beIN SPORTS France, subject to certain clauses and adjustments. On the same day, the LFP's board of directors approved this decision, which we believe to be the best immediate solution for French professional football. An audit of all the LFP's and LFP Media's expenses has been entrusted to a number of presidents, because it appears that, unfortunately, the results are not commensurate with the investments made," announced three presidents of Ligue 1 clubs, Jean-Pierre Caillot (Stade de Reims / president of the Ligue 1 Board), Jean-Pierre Rivère (OGC Nice / vice-president of the Ligue 1 Board) and Laurent Nicollin (Montpellier Hérault Sport Club / president of the Foot Unis syndicate), in a press release issued by the Ligue's communications department on 16/07/2024.
