Euro 2024: victory for Spain, successful hosting by Germany & satisfaction for UEFA

UEFA Euro 2024 ended with Spain beating England 2-1 in the final at the Olympiastadion (70,000 capacity) in Berlin (GER) on Sunday 14/07/2024. The men's competition saw "La Roja" win 11 months after the Spanish women's team at the Women's World Cup 2023, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand

This 17^th edition of the competition, the second to be staged entirely in Germany (after the 1988 event in the Federal Republic of Germany), drew 2.67 million spectators to the 10 host stadiums and nearly 6 million fans to the fan zones. What's more, "with more than 50 million ticket requests in the two application phases, Euro 2024 is officially the most demanded UEFA European Championship of all time," announced UEFA at the opening of the competition on 14/06/2024.

Following their results in the group stage - a draw and two defeats - at the end of which they were eliminated, four national teams (Poland, Czech Republic, Albania and Scotland) will receive €9.75m each.
