LALIGA: production of a fictional TV series based on the world of LALIGA with Little Spain

LALIGA Studios, a sports content production company co-founded by LALIGA and Banijay Iberia (the Spanish subsidiary of the French production and distribution company), have entered into a partnership with production company Little Spain to produce a fictional TV series based on the world of LALIGA, announced the latter on 22/07/2024.

"The aim is to create a story set in the world of Spanish professional football based on the unique features of LALIGA teams, where football, culture and life come together. It's a milestone for Little Spain, as it allows us to tell a story that lies between two key locations: Spain and the United States. In order to capture the essence of the footballing world and its lifestyle, which is accessible to very few, the key elements will be emotion and our characteristic cinematic style," explained LALIGA.

LALIGA Studios was launched by LALIGA and Banijay Iberia in February 2023. It has already "completed productions for more than 100 operators broadcasting in over 190 countries around the world," according to the Spanish body.
