"What has changed is that gender parity is no longer the subject of separate initiatives, but is integrated into all our projects. It is a common thread running through all the IOC's decisions," said Marie Sallois, corporate and sustainable development director of the International Olympic Committee, on 28/07/2024

Sallois spoke at the daily press briefing organised by the IOC and Paris 2024 at the Main Media Centre (MPC) at Porte Maillot (Paris, 17^th arrondissement).

"These are the first Olympic Games with complete gender parity on the field of play. As a result, the Games are the world's largest platform for promoting gender equality in and through sport. This didn't happen by chance, it is the result of many efforts and the strategic direction of our roadmap launched in 2015, which clearly positioned gender equality as a key priority both on and off the field of play. It is also the result of measures defined by the IOC and the entire Olympic Movement," added Sallois.

"We want to ensure that the sporting content also reflects this equality. Sports programming (during the Olympics…
