Olympic Games: 88% of people who watched the Opening Ceremony enjoyed it (IOC study of 15 countries)

• 88% of people who watched the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on the evening of 26/07/2024 enjoyed it;
• 76% believe it was the most memorable Opening Ceremony in the history of the Games;
• 85% said it encourages them to follow the events.

These are the three main figures from a survey carried out by the IOC among 3,200 people over the age of 18 in 15 different countries on 27/07 and published on 28/07/2024.

On the same day, the Paris 2024 COJOP unveiled the results of another survey conducted by the Harris Interactive institute (online survey carried out on 27/07 on a sample of nearly 1,500 French people over the age of 18), according to which:
• 86% of the French considered the Olympic Games opening ceremony to be a success;
• The French also considered it to be festive (86%), well organised (86%), spectacular (85%), inclusive (83%), innovative (83%), worthy of its ambitions (82%), a good reflection of France (81%), historic (80%), respectful of French values (80%) and a source of pride (75%);
• 83% were positive about the choice of such an event organised elsewhere…
