France: Ligue 1 TV rights officially awarded to DAZN & beIN (€500m/per season)

The Ligue de Football Professionnel has officially awarded the domestic broadcasting rights for the Ligue 1 McDonald's to the OTT platform DAZN and the pay-TV group beIN SPORTS France for the 2024-2029 cycle (five seasons), on 01/08/2024, 15 days before the start of the 2024-25 season in the French top flight. The total annual value of the agreement is estimated at €500m, according to L'Équipe.

DAZN will broadcast eight (out of nine) Ligue 1 games per matchday on an exclusive basis, for an annual fee of €400m (including the top ten fixtures and the rights to near-live highlights). The agreement also includes the Trophée des Champions and play-off matches.

beIN will broadcast one game per matchday, on an exclusive basis, on Saturdays at 17:00 (1^st choice on even-numbered days, 2^nd choice on odd-numbered days) for a total of €100m (see standard programming below). The channel will also benefit from additional slots (on Fridays at 20:45 and Sundays at 15:00) if it schedules a match involving a club taking part in a European Cup, according to L'Équipe.
