Premier League: club social media communities, 14 days before the start of the 2024-25 season

The 20 Premier League clubs have a total of nearly 970 million followers on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X), an average of 48.5 million per club, according to readings taken by News Tank Football on 01/08/2024, two weeks before the start of the 2024-25 season.

Manchester United FC have the highest cumulative total, with 211.6 million followers. The club is ahead of local rivals Manchester City FC in second place (149.4 million) and Chelsea FC (139 million). Five clubs have more than 100 million followers.

Ipswich Town FC, promoted to the Premier League after the 2023-24 season, have the fewest followers on social media, with 1.3 million. Ipswich is one of eight clubs below the 10 million mark, notably behind AFC Bournemouth (19^th, 3.7 million) and Nottingham Forest FC (18^th, 4 million).
