The German TV group Sport1, which offers both paying and free-TV content, acquired the audiovisual rights to the Europa League in Germany for the 2015-2018 cycle on 02/02/2015. Sport1 holds the live broadcasting rights, exclusively on free-to-air television, to 15 Europa League games per season and will have the first pick in each week of the competition (from the group stage up to the final).

The rights apply to television (free-to-air only), Internet (Sport1.de), the group's mobile applications, and its web radio (Sport1.fm). Sport1 succeeds the private free-TV group Kabel Eins, who holds these rights during the 2012-2015 period.

  • The pay-TV group Sky Deutschland extended its audiovisual rights to all of the matches of the Europa League (for pay-TV in Germany and Austria) for the 2015-2018 cycle on 18/12/2014.
