2024-25 LALIGA EA Sports: matches involving 4 Basque teams broadcast locally by the EITB group

Basque broadcasting group Euskal Irrati Telebista (EITB) has signed an agreement with LALIGA to broadcast certain LALIGA EA Sports matches played by four Basque teams locally in 2024-25, it announced on 05/08/2024.

The group will broadcast matches involving Deportivo Alavés, Athletic Club Bilbao, Club Atletico Osasuna and Real Sociedad on its EITB1 free-TV channel and website when the latter play their Monday night matches (21:00 CET). This agreement is possible because of the existence of autonomous communities in Spain, such as the Basque Country, which can have their own public media.

The domestic broadcasting rights for the Spanish top flight are held by the pay-TV bouquet Movistar Plus+ (Telefonica) and the OTT platform DAZN for the 2022-2027 cycle (five games each per matchday, three matchdays exclusively on Movistar), and by the audiovisual group Mediapro for 2022-2025 (one game co-broadcast per matchday).
