Bundesliga: several TV rights deals in sub-Saharan Africa for the 2024-2027 season

Bundesliga International has signed several media rights agreements for the broadcast of the Bundesliga in sub-Saharan Africa over the 2024-2027 cycle, announced the DFL subsidiary responsible for the commercial rights (audiovisual, sponsorship, marketing, digital) for Germany's top two divisions abroad, on 07/08/2024.

The Tanzanian television group Azam TV and Chinese pay-TV group StarTimes have extended their media rights over this period. Azam TV will now broadcast the Bundesliga in Tanzania, Botswana, Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. "Alongside coverage in English language, both organisations retain the rights to broadcast matches in a variety of local languages throughout Sub-Saharan Africa," said Bundesliga International.
