Bundesliga: social media communities of the 18 clubs, 16 days before the start of the 2024-25 season

The 18 clubs in the Bundesliga have a total of 227.8 million followers on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X), an average of 12.6 million per club, according to readings taken by News Tank Football on 01/08/2024, with the 2024-25 season of the German top flight kicking off on Friday 23/08.

FC Bayern Munich have the highest total, with 129.3 million followers. The Bavarian club alone accounts for 56.7% of all Bundesliga fans. Bayern are ahead of Borussia Dortmund (52 million) and Bayer 04 Leverkusen (13.7 million).

At the other end of the scale, 1. FC Heidenheim have the fewest followers, with just under 240,000. They are one of three German clubs with fewer than one million followers, behind promoted side Holstein Kiel in 17^th place with 372,000 and VfL Bochum 1846 (16^th) with 663,000.
