IOC: "On track to have more than half of the world's population following the Games" (A-S. Voumard)

"We're on track to have more than half the world's population following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The numbers are very impressive. The immersive and innovative coverage produced by OBS is attracting record audiences across TV and platforms. We are still calculating the figures for the Opening Ceremony, but we expect the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony to be the most-watched ever," said Anne-Sophie Voumard, director of television and marketing services at the IOC, on 07/08/2024.

Voumard spoke during the daily press briefing organised by the IOC and Paris 2024 at the Main Media Centre (MPC), dedicated to the broadcast and digital engagement of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Also present were Anne Descamps (COJOP communications director), Mark Adams (IOC communications director), Yiannis Exarchos (CEO of OBS) and Alejandro Lifschitz (associate director, digital engagement and marketing at the IOC).
