"The Games have been a catalyst for inclusion and accessibility. Perhaps in the land of the French Revolution there could be a revolution for inclusion. You need a spark to start such a revolution. And I think we've got it here: in the seven years leading up to the Games, so much has been done in Paris to narrow the gap that has existed for centuries on the subject of inclusion. I'm very impressed and happy about that. I'm sure that after the Games, when urban development issues are addressed, you'll make sure that accessibility is taken into account. This will also apply to other areas, such as taking inclusivity into account in education, so that everything will always take inclusivity in society into account. That's what we call a revolution," said Andrew Parsons, president of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), at a conference organised by the Ville de Paris (City of Paris) at the Paris Média Centre ( 2nd arrondissement) on 08/08/2024.
