Ligue 1 McDonald's: DAZN enters distribution agreements with Bouygues Telecom, Free, Orange & SFR

"DAZN has entered into a series of partnership agreements with France's leading telecoms operators - Bouygues Telecom, Free, Orange and SFR - to make its content offering accessible to as many fans as possible in France, from the start of the 2024-25 Ligue 1 McDonald's season, which kicks off with Le Havre AC versus Paris Saint-Germain on Friday 16/08 at 20:45," announced the OTT sports platform on 12/08/2024.

"These partnerships are at the heart of DAZN's distribution strategy and reflect its commitment to reaching as many French sports fans as possible. These partnerships with the four major telecoms operators, provide major reach and accessibility to DAZN's platform and offerings, ensuring that even more sports fans will enjoy the new destination for the Ligue 1 McDonald's as well as a wide choice of premium content, products and services," added the UK group. The latter has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to eight games (out of nine) per matchday in the French top flight for an annual fee of €400m (including the top 10 fixtures) over the 2024-2029 cycle.
