2024-25 LALIGA EA Sports: all you need to know about the 20 clubs in the Spanish top flight

Real Madrid CF, Spanish champions in 2023-24, will be putting their title back on the line from Thursday 15/08/2024, when the 2024-25 season of the LALIGA EA Sports kicks off.

The Madrid club, which also won the Champions League in 2023-24, will be up against some ambitious opponents, starting with FC Barcelona, runners-up in the league last season. Girona FC and Club Atlético de Madrid will accompany the two clubs in the new league phase of the 2024-25 Champions League, while Athletic Club Bilbao, 5^th in the latest rankings and winners of the Copa del Rey, and Real Sociedad, 6^th, are committed to the Europa League. Real Betis Balompié will face FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (UKR) or FC Viktoria Plzeň (CZE) in the Conference League play-offs on 22/08 (first leg) and 29/08 (second leg) to qualify for the league phase of the competition.
