2024-25 LALIGA EA Sports: all you need to know regarding broadcasting in Spain & internationally

Athletic Club Bilbao - Getafe CF, the first match of the 2024-25 LALIGA EA Sports season, will be broadcast in Spain on the pay-TV channel Movistar Plus+ on Thursday 15/08/2024 (kick-off at 19:00 CET). The other games on this first matchday will be broadcast on pay-TV channels in the Movistar Plus+ package or on the OTT platform DAZN. UD Las Palmas - Sevilla FC will also be broadcast free-to-air on the free DTT channel Gol Play (Mediapro) on 17/08/2024 (21:30 CET).

Over the 2022-2027 cycle, Movistar Plus+ (Telefonica's pay-TV bouquet) and DAZN will each broadcast five games per matchday of equal choice, on 35 of the 38 matchdays. Three matchdays per season will be broadcast exclusively on Movistar Plus+. These rights were acquired for €4.95bn (an average of €990m per season) on 13/12/2021.

The Spanish broadcasting group Mediapro also extended its free-to-air rights to broadcast one LALIGA EA Sports game per matchday in Spain, for three seasons over the 2022-2025 cycle, on 17/06/2022. These rights were acquired for "less than €14m" per season, according to the Spanish media.
