Paris SG: US basketballer Kevin Durant, becomes a minority shareholder through his company Boardroom

American basketball player Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns (NBA) has become a minority shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 McDonald's) through his media, sports and entertainment company Boardroom Sports Holdings, LLC, announced the club on 12/08/2024.

The only four-time Olympic gold medallist with the USA basketball team (2012, 2016, 2021 and 2024) is investing via the investment fund Arctos Partners, which acquired 12.5% of Paris Saint-Germain in December 2023. At the beginning of August 2024, Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman, co-founder of Boardroom, visited Paris Saint-Germain's training centre in Poissy (Yvelines, FRA) to meet Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the club's president.

Durant and Kleiman "witnessed first-hand how the club's values of innovation and excellence are embodied in this new environment, where Paris Saint-Germain is nurturing the stars of tomorrow. They also spent time with Paris Saint-Germain's professional football teams, with a particular focus on the women's and youth academy teams - areas of strong interest for him both in terms of sport and investment."
