Paris 2024/Warner Bros. Discovery: 215 million viewers in Europe, 27.4 million in France (Eurosport)

215 million viewers in 50 European territories (in 20 languages) watched the Paris 2024 Olympic Games via the broadcast channels of Warner Bros. Discovery channels (free-to-air, pay-TV and streaming), 40 million more (+23%) than at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (held in 2021), according to data released by the media and entertainment conglomerate on 13/08/2024.

This total includes audiences on the Max and discovery+ streaming platforms, as well as Eurosport TV channels and free-to-air channels (in Northern European countries). "Warner Bros. Discovery's average linear television audiences for Paris 2024 were double Tokyo 2020," said the group.

In France, the Eurosport pay-TV channels "attracted 27.4 million unique viewers, with a 37% increase in the average audience compared with Tokyo 2020," said the American group committed to the IOC until the Brisbane 2032 Summer Games (Australia).
