Bundesliga/2.Bundesliga: DAZN acquires TV rights in Spain for the 2025-2029 cycle

The British OTT platform DAZN, has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the Bundesliga, 2.Bundesliga and DFL Supercup for the Spanish market over the 2025-2029 cycle (four seasons), announced Bundesliga International, the DFL subsidiary responsible for the commercial rights (audiovisual, sponsorship, marketing, digital) of Germany's top two divisions abroad, on 13/08/2024.

This acquisition is accompanied by a sub-licensing agreement with Spanish pay-TV group Movistar Plus+ enabling DAZN to broadcast German competitions exclusively in Spain from the 2024-25 season. The group owned by Spanish telecoms operator Telefonica has been broadcasting the two German leagues since the 2017-18 season.
