Liga Portugal Betclic: Emirates extends as SL Benfica's main shirt sponsor for 5 seasons (2024-2029)

The airline Emirates has extended as the main shirt sponsor of SL Benfica (Liga Portugal Betclic) for a further five seasons, covering the 2024-2029 cycle, announced the club on 14/08/2024.

The Emirates-based company became the Portuguese club's "official airline" for the 2014-15 season, before taking on the role of main shirt sponsor from 2015-16. As part of this renewed agreement, "the longest and most significant signed to date in Benfica's history in terms of front-of-shirt sponsorship", Emirates will continue to display its "Fly Better" brand on the front of the club's kit.

In the European Top 5, Emirates is the main shirt sponsor of four clubs:
• Arsenal FC (Premier League): over the 2006-2028 cycle (22 seasons), for an annual fee of €45.1m;
• AC Milan (Serie A Enilive): since 2010-11, between €30m and €35m per season;
• Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's): for the 2020-2025 cycle;
• Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports): over the 2013-2028 cycle (15 seasons), for €70m per season.
