2024-25 Ligue 1 McDonald's: all you need to know regarding broadcasting in France & internationally

The OTT sports platform DAZN and pay-TV group beIN SPORTS France are the official broadcasters in France of 2024-25 Ligue 1 McDonald's as part of a new rights cycle covering the 2024-2029 cycle.

The Ligue de Football Professionnel has officially awarded the domestic broadcasting rights for the French top flight to DAZN and beIN for five seasons from 01/08/2024. The total value of the agreement is estimated at €500m per year, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe.

• DAZN will broadcast eight games (out of nine) on an exclusive basis each matchday for a total of €400m a year, including the Top 10 fixtures of the season as well as the Trophée des Champions and play-off matches. DAZN has also acquired the rights to near-live highlights, which will be available free of charge on the new Free FOOT app under an agreement between the UK platform and the French telecoms operator. The streaming service is multiplying its distribution agreements (Canal+, Orange, SFR, Free, Prime Video, etc.) in order to gain greater visibility with the French public (see "further reading" section).
