Tennis/ITF: $35.3m in prize money to be allocated to over 1,100 tournaments by 2025 (+20% vs 2024)

The International Tennis Federation will provide a record of $35.3m (€32m) in total prize money for the more than 1,100 tournaments that make up the ITF World Tennis Tour (men's and women's) during the 2025 season, a 20% increase on the 2024 figure ($29.4m/€27m), announced the world body on 15/08/2024.

In detail, the men's tournaments will receive $14m (€12.8m) in prize money, up 46% on 2022 (€10m), while the women's competitions will see their prize money rise to $20.7m (€18.9m), 38% more than in 2022 ($15m).

"Against a global backdrop of price rises, the increases are designed to help ease the challenging financial conditions experienced by many players, by increasing their earning capacity and, for women, reducing hotel costs - a key part of a player’s budget," explained the ITF, which promises in particular to make more hospitality free for women players. A total of 28,000 nights' free accommodation will be provided for players, compared with 5,000 in 2024.
