FC Barcelona: launch of a channel on South Korean streaming platform Naver TV

FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports) have launched a channel on the South Korean streaming platform Naver TV to offer "exclusive access to the club's official content," announced the Catalan club on 20/08/2024.

"This partnership once again highlights the club's continued efforts in growing its fanbase in the Asia Pacific region, through creative content strategy as well as partnerships with key local digital content players to deliver localised, engaging and customised content featuring not only matches, but also players and the club's wider news," said FC Barcelona. The club will use Papago AI machine translation technology to offer its content, initially designed in Spanish and English, in South Korean.

"Asian countries represent an important source of growth for the Barça brand with millions of users who increasingly ask us for original content from the club.
