The six games on Matchday 1 of the 2024-25 Premier League broadcast in the United States on the channels of the American broadcasting group NBC Sports (a subsidiary of the American media and entertainment conglomerate NBCUniversal) posted an average audience of 820,000 viewers, according to data from the American institute Nielsen, communicated by the group on 20/08/2024. This is a record for the opening matchday of the Premier League season broadcast on NBC.

Chelsea FC - Manchester City FC (0-2) drew 1.85 million viewers on NBC channels and its streaming platform Peacock, on Sunday 18/08/2024 (kick-off at 16:30 BST). This is a record for Matchday 1 of the Premier League broadcast on NBC and the fourth highest audience ever for an English top flight match broadcast by the group (see below).
