Rugby: BBC exclusive broadcaster of the Women's Rugby World Cup England 2025 in the UK

The BBC has acquired the exclusive UK broadcasting rights from World Rugby for the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025, which will be played in England from 22/08 to 27/09/2025, announced the British public broadcasting group and the international federation on 22/08/2024, one year to the day before the start of the competition. This Women's World Cup will be the first to be contested by 16 teams.

"BBC Sport will broadcast live coverage of the tournament across linear channels, with every match also available to watch live on BBC iPlayer and the Sport website and app, delivering unparalleled coverage of the eight-city, nationwide celebration of women’s rugby, projecting rugby’s biggest stars to more people in the UK than ever before," said the BBC, which along with the UK free-TV group ITV will also broadcast matches from UEFA Women's Euro 2025 in Switzerland from 02 to 27/07/2025.
