DFL: Bundesliga matches & on-demand content to be broadcast in BMW vehicles in 2024-25

The Deutsche Fußball Liga has extended its cooperation agreement with BMW, under which the two partners will make content available via in-car entertainment systems in the German car manufacturer's vehicles, announced the league on 22/08/2024.

Launched during the 2023-24 season, this "pilot project" is being extended to the 2024-25 financial year, during which "highlight clips and selected live broadcasts" from the Bundesliga will be offered on the screens of BMW vehicles. "The Bundesliga in-car app developed by BMW will be available to BMW customers with vehicles already equipped with the functionality, until May 2025," explained the body.

While content has previously only been available in vehicles when stationary, certain models will now offer the option of following matches "live while driving - in Germany at speeds of up to 60km per hour. On-demand content can also be played back as an audio stream while driving," added the DFL.
