Borussia Mönchengladbach - Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the first match of the 2024-25 Bundesliga season, is scheduled for Friday 23/08/2024 (kick-off at 20:30 CET) and will be broadcast in Germany on the free-TV channel SAT.1 belonging to the free-TV and pay-TV group ProSiebenSat.1, as well as on the OTT platform DAZN. The remaining eight matches, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25/08/2024, will be broadcast by DAZN (two games) and the Sky Deutschland pay-TV channels (six).

The domestic broadcasting rights for the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and DFL-Supercup for the 2021-2025 season were awarded for a total of €1.1bn per season on 22/06/2020. This call for tenders for the DFL rights for Germany, launched on 16/03/2020, for the first time included Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and South Tyrol (a predominantly German-speaking province in Italy).
