"We are entering a period of uncertainty in terms of investment, where we will have to be very careful and ingenious to find new resources," said Saïd Chabane, owner of Angers SCO (promoted to the Ligue 1 McDonald's for 2024-25), to News Tank Football on 23/08/2024.

"This year, we're on a drive to make savings, pool resources and cut costs. Unfortunately, the latest news on TV rights (an agreement worth €500m a year until 2029, well below the LFP's initial ambitions) has forced us to put on hold the development of the club that we initiated in 2014 with the creation of the training centre and the renovation of the Stade Raymond-Kopa in 2017 and 2020," said Chabane. The club's budget for 2024-25 is estimated at €25m.

"Angers SCO represents 450 direct and indirect jobs, €35m committed over three years to local businesses, the 25th largest company in Angers Loire Métropole (in terms of turnover) and the 2nd largest sports-related company in the Pays de la Loire region."
