Manchester City FC: EA Sports (video games) renews as a global partner from 2024-25

EA Sports, an American video game publisher belonging to the Electronic Arts group, has renewed as a global partner (2^nd level) of Manchester City FC (Premier League) from the 2024-25 season, announced the club on 27/08/2024. The two parties have been linked since 2011.

As part of the renewed agreement, Manchester City's players will continue to appear in the EA Sports FC football video game (the next iteration of which, "EA Sports FC 25", is scheduled for release on 20/09/2024). The Joie Stadium, home to Manchester City's Barclays Women's Super League team, became one of the first women's football stadiums available in the game. Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who plays for Manchester City, also featured on the EA Sports FC 24 cover. The club also has a professional esports team taking part in competitions played on EA Sports FC, including the 2023-2024 ePremier League, which it won.

Two Ligue 1 McDonald's clubs also extended their partnership agreements with EA Sports, on 22/08/2024: Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, both for several seasons from 2024-25.
