Formula 1: Aggreko (GBR) to supply low-carbon energy solutions from the 2025 season

Aggreko, a British company specialised in temporary power solutions, has become an official supplier (4^th level) to the Formula One Group as part of a "multi-year partnership to deliver innovative low-carbon energy generation systems at all European Grands Prix from the 2025 season," announced the governing body on 28/08/2024. This initiative is part of F1's "Net Zero" strategy, which aims to achieve a net zero carbon footprint by 2030.

"Aggreko and Formula 1 have been working on this system together since 2023 when they first piloted a centralised power generation compound at the Austrian Grand Prix, which reduced associated carbon emissions by >90% within the Paddock, Pit Lane, and broadcast areas compared to the 2022 event," explained Formula One Group. Tests have also been carried out at the Austrian and Monza Grands Prix in 2024, and the use of this system will be extended to all ten races held in Europe in 2025.
