2024-25 Europa League: Tottenham-Roma & OL-Eintracht Frankfurt among the fixtures in the new format

Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) - AS Roma (Serie A Enilive) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London, ENG) and Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's) - Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga) at Groupama Stadium (Décines-Charpieu, FRA) are among the fixtures for the 2024-25 Europa League, following the draw carried out for the first time by a software programme (as for the Champions League on 29/08/2024), at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, on 30/08/2024.

As UEFA enters the 2024-2027 cycle, the Europa League, like the Champions League, will adopt a new format with 36 teams (instead of 32) divided into four groups of nine (places are determined by the number of UEFA coefficient points accumulated over the last five seasons), who will be ranked in the same table at the end of each matchday, thus putting an end to the group stage that has existed until now.

Each team in the competition will play two teams from each pot, with eight matches to be played - four at home and four away - instead of six previously, against different opponents each time. Two teams from the same country cannot play…
