LFP: Cyril Linette thanks those allowing him to run for president, Vincent Labrune delighted

"I would like to thank the presidents and families of football for the confidence they have shown in me by allowing me to stand for election as president of the LFP," wrote Cyril Linette, former CEO of L'Équipe (2015-2018) and PMU (2018-2021), on the social network X on 02/09/2024 (full text below).

With a view to the elections to the Ligue de Football Professionnel board of directors scheduled for 10/09/2024, Cyril Linette, who already had the backing of Foot Unis, the union of club presidents (since 29/08/2024), has obtained the backing of the UAF (Union des Acteurs du Football), which brings together the football "families" (UNFP, UNECATEF, SNAAF, SAFE). This double sponsorship is imposed on "candidates for election as (three) independent members" by the League's Statutes (article 18).
