UEFA/Financial Sustainability: fines for AS Roma (€2m), Aston Villa (€60,000) & Marseille (€20,000)

A fine of €60,000 for Aston Villa FC (Premier League) and another of €20,000 for Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 McDonald's) accused of a "late submission of their financial information", such is one of the decisions of the CFCB First Chamber announced by UEFA on 06/09/2024.

These sanctions were taken regarding financial sustainability compliance for the 2023-24 season and for clubs subject of a settlement agreement during the season. "For the first time, the CFCB assessed clubs against the new Cost Squad rule that is progressively implemented over three years. In 2023, clubs had to report a ratio equal or below 90%. The ratio will then decrease to 80% in 2024 and finally to 70% in 2025."

Among the other decisions taken by the ICFC:
• "AS Roma (Serie A Enilive) slightly exceeded the intermediate target set for the financial year 2023 and was imposed a fine of €2m;
